CESO is Volunteer-based, not-for-profit, Canadian Development Agency founded in 1967. Principal funder is the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
Project started in Georgia in 2000 and was closed down in March 2010.
Number of projects implemented in Georgia: – around 200 assignments with total budget of 1 000 000 USD;
Sectors covered – SME, Hospitality, Transportation, Governance;
Geographical area covered – Tbilisi, Gori, Adjara Autonomous Republic, Guria, Kakheti, Svaneti.

• Strategic Planning and Business Planning
• HR management
• Marketing
• Optimization of managerial practices
• Hospitality sector – improvement of service quality, marketing and HACCP standards
SME sector- outcomes:
• Improved efficiency (70% of companies)
• Improved management practices (70% of companies)
• Increased sales (sales increased by 7-10%)
• New employment opportunities (number of employees increased in 25% of companies by 2-5 employees)
• New types of services and improved quality of service (25% of companies)
• New types of products and improved quality of products (20% of companies)
• Cost efficiency and improved financial accounting system
• Improved educational capacities – 98% of training assignments were successful and results sustainable
• 65 IDP women were employed or self employed
